Recycle: Jewellery Box
Yayee my fave time pass...recycling stuff! like i follow "Reuse, Reduce, Recycle!"
This time I have recycled a cellphone box into a jewellery box.
The box was pretty awesome itself. first it was full black in colour so less work for me i didnt have to colour it..and the most helpful part...it had magnets and opened as a..amm i donno..different way than the usual boxes..something like this...
and it also had 2 compartments one smaller than the other so i used the big compartment for storing my bracelets and the small one for rings :D
I decorated it with some old bangles and sequins, a huge stone i took out from an old dress, a broken butterfly shaped punch clip and some colourful ribbon. herez how the finish product looks :P

Origami: Bookmark
I was reading Petricia Cornwell's novel "From Potter's Field" and the my previous bookmark was making a fuss. it flew under my bed and i was looking all over for it (though i found it later) but i still decided to make another one which i can tuck on my book even when im reading it. and i was in luck...i was searching for orgami bookmark and i came across this website, called origami resource center, which has a collection of bookmarks from a lot of websites. pretty cool. and i wanted to make the panda bookmark [(by R. Diaz) sorry i didn't want to link to it coz its in youtube!]..but it looked more like a raccoon!lol but the folding was pretty easy. then i tried the homepage (by Sy Chen) one but it turned out horrible...looks more like a boat so i settled for mark of love (by Jasiah Hills) my previous bookmark was also a heart and reading is something i 'heart' and thats how i show my mark of love to it.lol!
the left one is my old bookmark...and the new one is in pink! yah pink! :S i don't have black paper!!! :(
oh interesting thing i noticed in that "Origami Resource Center"--they even have Toilet Paper Origami LOL!!! "Fold Toilet Paper while still on the Roll" lol probably some toilet cleaner who was so obsessed with origami did his time pass during work by origami-ing the toilet papers 'while still on the roll' yeah awesomeee!!!! LOL maybe i will give it a try ;P

Picture of the Day
well...its the amigurumi hearts (from previous post) with my initial L on my cellphone and my glasses!^^
Crochet: Amigurumi Heart & Poo
Since I love all stuff small...esp stuffed animals or anything cute and small...I found something new (a long time back) thats 'AMIGURUMI'...crocheted animals or things. and I'm loving it! <3
I tried making a heart and a Poo. The poo is for a friend she loves talking about shit (literally)!!! lol so I gave it to her as a present. The heart was for practice so i made it with some practice wool!
this heart... I got the pattern from MyGurumi and it was really easy to follow even for a beginner like me!
so I made 2 more hearts out of black and white and they were real mini and I attached them to my cell-phone (thats the picuture of the day..coming up in the next post)
this happy poo I made using pattern from...Puchitomato
since I have already tried my hand on the heart this poo was pretty easy to understand! and it is really easier than it looks.

Here is a picture of both of them together..lol!
Kool stuff
Technically its not so kool...but to me it is!
I burnt my hand...for the first time...while baking I accidentally hit on the upper grill/tray...but worst part..it looks like a cut/bruise!! lol
yah I know the burn is barely visible but its my first n am loving it <3
its actually pretty weird how it changes colour everyday...
day1-Saturday- it was gray coloured
day2-Sunday- brown
day3-Monday- purple (the day of the pic)
day4-Tuesday- purple-ish with pink sides
day5-Today- well..I accidentally scratched it in my sleep (its very itchy) and now it has a slit in between! and its still pink-purple-ish
well i just hope it dries out soon..but I want it to leave a mark! :D
DIY: Wardrobe
After finishing redecorating the chest of drawers I wanted to redecorate my white wardrobe with something light brown as the other wardrobe is light brown...
its just a simple idea...all I used is just some brown wood printed paper cuts...its didn't turn up the way I wanted to but its still okay! I pictured it like- brown particles coming out from the brown wardrobe and the particles should have been in order from big chunks to small...kinda like digital stuff but I guess I didn't get the shapes right...and the sticking is a mess!!!
Anyway, whatever it is it's all done...next time I have to get my measurements right.

DIY: Chest of Drawers Redecorate
Since my holidays started I decided to redecorate the mismatched furniture in my room...which is my drawers. Its dark brown while the rest of the furnitures in my room are either silver colour or light brown. My mom didn't allow me to paint it white so I decided to put some touch of white with floral design.
Before
All I used was some water colour mixed with PVA glue for the floral design, some white paper for the flowers and covered the drawer knobs with foil paper.
That's it for today...I will redeco my wardrobe next!

Woah! more than a year later!!
So it has been more than a year since I blogged! I guess I was not into it but I think I will take it a bit seriously since i have nothing else to do till January 2011! :D
okhey from my last post until now...I did a lot of stuff apart from studying! right! I read 2 books by Nora Roberts, 1 book by Kate Ellis, 1 more by Adrian Mathews and even after being a fan of contemporary horror, suspense and science fiction, I still have to say that I hated Stephen King's novel! oh yeah I like murder mysteries too but I have never read Agatha Christie ^o^. At this moment I'm reading a novel by Patricia Cornwell...I haven't finished but it seems pretty good. (I will write my reviews later)
Apart from reading novels I went to visit my country twice. I also did some DIY stuff and yeah my never ending collection of photography with a normal cam. ;)
since I have so many topics to write about I decided to designate each of my hobby with a permanent header like, DIY project, Photography, Book Review, etc.
I will be starting from tomorrow for sure :D
